After being proven guilty of murder and shooting the model Reva Steenkamp, and spending some time in prison, he became eligible for release in July. On Valentine’s Day 2013, he shot her multiple times from a toilet door of his house.
A contract between Pistorius and Barry and June Steenkamp’s parents had not been set up when a parole review for him was initially planned for last month and again postponed, lawyers for both sides told The Associated Press on Monday.

Oscar Pistorius Parole: When Is He Getting Out?
Oscar Pistorius may be getting out on parole this month, approximately nine years after the start of his trial for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp.
Reeva’s family was reported to be surprised to find that he was due for release so soon after being promised it would not be until March 2023, even though they are ready to meet with the Paralympian as part of his release procedure.
It is unclear when Pistorius will be eligible for parole because he was imprisoned for over two years before his conviction, and his attorneys filed suit to have that time count toward his prison time.
According to ESPN, his parole date, which takes effect after serving half of a sentence in South Africa, started earlier than the Steenkamps had anticipated.
