Summer Chastant passed unexpectedly on December 17, 2022, while she was living in her Los Angeles home. She seems to have committed suicide before she tragically died. According to sources, she was discovered hanging from a rope at her LA home on December 17, 2022. She was declared dead right there when the accident happened.

Summer was a gifted author, director, and performer who had received numerous honors for her work. In addition to the critically acclaimed digital series Rage Room and the short film A Little Bit Pregnant, she also created the critically acclaimed digital series Namaste, Bitches. A Little Bit Pregnant earned nominations for Best Director, Best Actress, Best New Filmmaker, and Best Comedy at the Brooklyn Women’s Film Festival.
The original series Namaste, Bitches was created, executive produced, written, and starred by her. Namaste has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, MTV, and Paste Magazine, and was dubbed “the Girls of Yoga” by LA Weekly. The program has received over a million views. It has been ranked among the top 5 “greatest original series” lists, with Jerry Seinfeld’s Driving in Cars with Comedians, Horace and Pete, High Maintenance, and Master of None.
