Raheem Sterling has joined Dutch side Feyenoord until the end of the season. 

Sterling, who left Chelsea in January, has not played since May 2025 after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

He will link up with former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie, and the Feyenoord boss said: Naturally, its a fantastic feat that weve managed to convince a player of Raheems calibre to sign with us. His football resume speaks for itself: hes a player whose qualities can change the outcome of a game without a doubt, and I am convinced he will turn out to be a valuable addition to the team as we work towards achieving our goals in the second half of this season.

Sterling said: As a free agent, I've had, for the first time in a long time, the opportunity to control the next step in my career. I wanted to take my time to speak with clubs and their head coaches to better understand the role they envisioned for me and ensure that I can add real value in this next chapter.

"Having spoken in great detail with Robin, I'm confident that Feyenoord is a place I can be happy and establish myself as a valued member of the team.

Vitor Pereira has agreed to become the next Nottingham Forest head coach.

Final details of the deal are still being sorted but it is almost certain the former Wolves boss will take over at the City Ground. 

Wolves have been contacted as part of the protocol following his sacking earlier this season.

Pereira saved Wolves from relegation last season but a 10-game winless start in the league this season saw him lose his job.

He is set to become Forest's fourth permanent head coach this season. 

Forest were keen to move quickly to find a replacement for Sean Dyche ahead of next Thursday's crucial Europa League knockout play-off first leg away to Fenerbahce. 

Pereira was previously employed by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos. He won the league and cup double with the Greek side in 2015.

Versatile Bournemouth defender Adam Smith has signed a one-year contract extension at the Vitality.

The 34-year-old has been at the south coast club since 2014.

Hull captain Lewie Coyle is dreaming of leading his hometown club back to the Premier League after signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says he "wants word-class Ibrahima Konate to stay" at Anfield.

Former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has claimed the club are failing to challenge near the top of the Premier League due to their wage structure.

Speaking in the wake of the sacking of his successor Thomas Frank, he told The Overlap podcast the club missed out on four key targets Pedro Neto, Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi that he hoped would drive them forward following a fifth-placed finish in 2023-24.

All four players have since been sold by their respective clubs while Spurs have been forced to shop elsewhere.

At the end of my first year when we finished fifth, for me, OK how do you go from fifth to really challenging? said Postecoglou.

Well we had to sign Premier League-ready players. But finishing fifth that year didnt get us Champions League, we didnt have the money. So we ended up signing Dom Solanke, who I was really keen on him, I really like him, and three teenagers.

I was looking at Pedro Neto and Mbeumo and Semenyo at the time, Marc Guehi, because I said if were going to go from fifth to there, thats what the other big clubs would do in that moment.

And those three teenagers are outstanding young players. And I think theyll be great players for Tottenham, but theyre not going to get you from fifth to fourth and third.

Nottingham Forest must look for a "quick fix" after sacking Sean Dyche and focus on staying in the Premier League, former defender Michael Dawson has told Your Site FC.

Forest are searching for their fourth permanent boss of the season and want to move quickly to make an appointment before their Europa League knockout play-off first leg at Fenerbache next Thursday. 

Former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is set to for talks with Forest about taking over with the club three points above the relegation zone and facing a tough run of games in the league.

But Dawson believes his former side should have stuck with Dyche to give them the best chance of staying up. 

"It has got to be a quick fix for me now," Dawson said on Your Site FC. "They haven't got time to look past the Premier League. 

"[Sean Dyche] was that for me. Do I believe he would have kept them up? One hundred per cent."

He added: "I have got no idea who is going to come in. 

"Vitor Pereira went to Wolves when they were in that position last year and kept them up. Players left and you see where they are now. 

"Sean Dyche for me was the man that gave Nottingham Forest every chance of staying in the Premier League."

Alex Jimenez's loan move from AC Milan to Bournemouth has been made permanent, the south coast club has confirmed.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Cherries at the start of the season, has now featured in more than half of the clubs competitive fixtures, activating the transfer clause to keep him at the Vitality until 2031.

Thomas Tuchel has signed a contract extension to keep him as England head coach through to the end of Euro 2028.

Tuchel, whose current deal only runs until the end of the World Cup, has agreed a new deal to lead to lead England through to Euro 2028 in the UK and Ireland.
