Jack Draper tennis results, ranking, news and how to watch on Sky Sports Tennis

The latest news around British men's tennis No 1 Jack Draper as he prepares to return to action in February after an arm injury.

Draper is set to feature in Great Britain's Davis Cup tie against Norway after being named in a five-strong team for the first-round tie to be played over February 5-6.

He has played just one match since Wimbledon last summer because of bone bruising in his left arm, and announced ahead of the new season that he would not be fit for the 2026 Australian Open.

Draper has made himself available for the Davis Cup qualifier in Oslo, where he will be joined by Cameron Norrie, Jacob Fearnley and world No 1 doubles pair Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash.

"It's been a long time since I've been able to compete, but I've stayed in a good place," Draper said before heading out with the British team to Oslo. "It's been tricky, lots of tough times, but that's the sport I signed up for. You're always learning, always growing. I'm happy to be back playing again.

"I just missed the buzz of competing, to be honest. I missed the thrill of playing in front of people, against great players and that winning feeling you can't replicate in training. It's going to feel great to get back out there again."

The availability of Draper is a major boost for British Davis Cup captain Leon Smith. The winner of the tie will progress to the second qualifying round in September.

Draper currently sits 13th in the ATP singles rankings having reached a career-high No 4 last year. He slipped out of the world's top 10 in early January and dropped further down the rankings following the conclusion of the Australian Open.

Draper made public that he had hired Andy Murray's former coach Jamie Delgado ahead of the 2026 season, with James Trotman taking a back seat.

Draper's representatives were keen to stress that Trotman remained very much a part of the team but he has now made the decision to step back completely to prioritise time with his family.

Under Trotman, Draper won three ATP Tour titles, including the Masters 1000 crown in Indian Wells in March, while he made his major Grand Slam breakthrough by reaching the semi-finals of the US Open in 2024.

Draper's breakthrough victory at Indian Wells included a win over Carlos Alcaraz but he was unable to complete the Sunshine Double after defeat in his opening match in Miami to Jakub Mensik.

In Madrid, he became only the second Brit, after Andy Murray, to make the final of that tournament.

Draper missed out on a second Masters 1000 title as he lost to Casper Ruud after three gruelling sets but he did hit the top five in the world rankings for the first time.

Draper's third final of 2025 came in Doha in February, where he lost to in three sets.

In the Grand Slams in 2025, Draper retired against Alcaraz in the last 16 at the Australian Open, lost to , was beaten by at Wimbledon in round two and then withdrew from the US Open .
