Rangers have signed Ryan Naderi in a 4.7m deal on Deadline Day.

The Ibrox club had initially agreed a 3m move to land the 22-year-old striker in the summer.

However, following further talks with Hansa Rostock, a move was agreed - that's despite the German third division club wanting to keep the player until the end of this season.

Naderi becomes head coach Danny Rhl's fourth January arrival, following deals for winger Andreas Skov Olsen on loan, plus permanent moves for midfielder Tochi Chukuwani and left-back Tuur Rommens.

Welsh returns to Motherwell from Celtic

Stephen Welsh has returned to Motherwell on loan for the remainder of the season from Celtic.

Your Site News understands that this deal was registered just two minutes before the midnight cut-off.

The 26-year-old centre-back made his debut at Fir Park in September and went on to make 17 appearances before being recalled by Celtic in January.

Welsh helped Motherwell keep seven clean sheets in eight games during his first spell at the club.

Its not been an ideal situation, but Im so pleased theres been a resolution, Welsh said.

I just want to play football, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here for the first half of the season. The staff, the players and the fans are all so aligned, and as a player, its the perfect environment to play your football in.

Ill need to work to get myself back into the team now. The boys have done unbelievably well since Ive been gone, which has been great. Im buzzing to get back here, and I cant wait to pick up where I left off.

Hibs' record signing departs

Hibernian's record signing Thibault Klidj has joined Danish Superliga side Randers FC on loan for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old moved to Easter Road last summer and scored four goals.

Hibs head coach David Gray said: "This opportunity has given Thibault the chance to get some game time under his belt at a very competitive level - which at this stage, will benefit him moving forward.

"I am looking forward to following his progress and welcoming him back for pre-season."

Celtic Manager Martin O'Neill said: "I'm really happy that we have brought Benjamin to the club, and I think he can be a very important addition to our squad during the remainder of the season.

"He is an excellent player, with real attributes, good height, strength and speed and I know he can only help and improve the squad across the number of games which we will face over the next few months.
