A horrific and heartbreaking incident took place on Wednesday in Vineland, ultimately taking the life of a Niagara resident.

According to the reports circulating, the victim of the crime has been identified as Cheryl Kowalik; the crime occurred in a rural region. Her horrifying death is thought to have been caused by murder.

Emerging Details of the Murder Case

On that awful morning, just before 8 a.m., Niagara Regional Police immediately rushed to a rural residence on Victoria Avenue between Greenlane and John Street.
A significant deployment of resources—including emergency task units, a canine unit, and the marine unit—was started on the spot to examine the area thoroughly.
At around 12:20 p.m., Cheryl Kowalik’s lifeless, dead body was tragically found. A 56-year-old man was taken into custody and suspected of murder in the first degree.

While the ongoing investigations, medics from Niagara Emergency Medical Services arrived on the death scene, and they stayed silent.

Several vehicles from the police were parked very close to Peach Country Farm Market at 4490 Victoria Ave, all through the day, making the police’s presence apparent.
There was a fence that police officers set up in the orchard and the houses nearby, which was defined by yellow tape.

On various social media accounts, the police have posted information on the ongoing investigation and pledged to do so again when more information is available.
